Having just finished a tough Friday morning run and yoga session I'm quite excited for what the near future holds in my triathlon racing season. Coming up at the end of August is the Accenture Chicago Triathlon which has over eight thousand participants! This will be a tough test for me as all the top guys in the world will be there. Two weeks later is the LA Triathlon, same deal! Then, I'm off to the Nautica Malibu Triathlon where i'll be racing such celebrities as Robin Williams and David Duchovny. This event is televised, and thankfully, I think I have my best shot of the three for a victory there! The Vineman 70.3 triathlon in Sonoma, CA on August third went pretty well. I finished in 4:18 placing 15th overall. Considering that this was probably the deepest field ever in professional triathlon, I'm ok with this result. 15th is 15th though, and I like to win races. Placing 15th puts me quite a ways out of the first spot, which is where I hope to be coming into Chicago, LA, and Malibu! Thanks for reading and look for my race report after Chicago! Yours in sport, Lewis Elliot
